Watch inception online
I cannot believe people have selected as this movie 9.0. I by no means critique a movie just because it does not make sense, I love quite a few extremely stupid b-movies which tend to be far from making any sense. I think, a movie can make no sense all right, provided it is nevertheless entertaining. However, this one does happen to make so little sense that it ought to be classified as fantasy, not sci-fi, as explained in detail in several "Hated It" comments here. And in terms of entertainment, Inception, a movie about goals, ironically made me so sleepy We barely made it to the finish.
Basically most "Loved It" comments here posit this movie to be real "genius" because it is so "complex" and "multi-layered". If you don't like it, you must be too stupid to understand all the supposedly enchanting, breathtaking and complex "layers" or "ranges". In short, an idea that one can dream within a dream either "blows your mind" or you are silly. Well, okay, maybe it's just myself. I happen to have been reading sci-fi since my early childhood, plus virtually all the software program code I write actually represent a intricate and multi-layered virtual reality, thus I'm personally not that impressed. Appears like the "Loved It" guys were really "mesmerized" by the dream-within-any-dream idea though, must have recently been quite an intellectual shock for them. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, only that it isn't necessarily a "genius" in 2010. I might probably be "mesmerized" if I viewed Nolan's movie in, say, 1910 (or to be on the safe side, in 1810).
The worst was the casting, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Site are good actors, but their adorable & cuddly faces in a supposedly darkish and moody sci-fi movie? Simply no credibility at all, that completely put me off. That choice would be perfect if Nolan was at minimum shooting for so-bad-it's-great movie. As a result, Inception is really-average-it-makes-you-sleepy motion picture. Download Inception
